I think it's a kind of a reflex you know...they need to hit a ball but after scoring there is no ball coming back so they compensate the missing movement by doing high-fives or ass-slapping...it's some sort of a training... :rolleyes:

Hardly anyone watches volleyball to watch the amazing skills :rolleyes: :^^: . We just watch it for good looking people and especially the slow-mo replays. In London thats how it works anyway (cause we dont get any sodding beaches or sand!).

Just sit back, relax and watch the good looking healthy people, cause you'll never be like that! :nerd: Too many of these ont help :vodkamachine:

To put it simply, yes, yes they do need to ass-slap and high-five between every play. In fact, 4 years from now I'd like to see an entire olympic sport added. based on showing such teamwork by jumping around slapping each other.

The reason why volleyball players come together after every play is becuase the sport involves so much rythm. You know, when you are in a zone, and everything is working out right, you want to keep that momentum. So, you slap hands, etc. to keep the momentum going after every play. It also is phychological. If you really fuck up, you HAVE to forget about it and worry about the next play...or else 99% of the time you'll fuck up again.


But, to everyone who doesn't care about the sport: the women seem to do it more than the men. So dream what you want. :bashful:

Good point otis, that is where the cuban women's 2s team went wrong vs canada =D They were arguing with each other in between plays and apparently bickering, so even with the physical advantage(as the commentator said) they couldn't pull it together. Its good to see such fine team work.
