2 cloth studies.

I know these are nothing at all, but I have extreme difficulty painting white cloth. I decided to do two quick wacom studies before I attempt it in oils.

The 2nd one isn't finished because i only wanted to get a feel for it, so i stopped after halfway once I got the idea (and that thing on it I started making a crystal candlestick)

caustic, after looking at the first one I think you are ready for an attempt in oil, it looks good! Can't say anything about the second, though it shows quite nicely how you are working

I tried today. how wrong i was... I painted everything really well, then i came to the whtie cloth.. so i started doing it and completey f'ed up my painting.
now i have to redo the whtie cloth because i cant go back and do the other stuff, too much work. :needle: :needle: :needle:

that sucks about you messing up. No ctrl z in real life, huh? The digital ones look good though.

Yeah dude, it's difficult to get out of that mindset :blah: I keep thinking "ah i can just slap this on because i know if its not right ill undo. " but then i realize that I can't do that.

Heh, btw, im not sure wehre my avatar is from, its just a funny picture i had. I'd be interested to know though if you found out. Perhaps ill ask in the lounge

this isn't done at all. i have to add the candlestick, fix the wineglass and bottle so they are symmetrical (drawing wise) and make the cloth a little brighter whtie in parts.

Thats looking really nice so far, I have alot of troube with white cloth too. ALOT. So I can empathise wih your problem, and to me, you're doing great!
