Hi all
Thanks so much for all the inspiring and AMAZING work.
I'm all into art again, after doing nothing for about 5 years, so I'll be posting my progress into this thread...
and please give comments & crit's - only way for me to get better :D
1: quickie sketch in between stuff at work (dirty marker in painter, some smudging for values)

I've moved the images to a more reliable provider...
Hope it works for everyone now:p
Two more; working on a dragon doing a kitty kitty pose

That new provider doesn't seem to be more reliable either...
edit: obviously my mistake - that provider seems to work.
As for your king: check out the guest self portrait of the day thread - you can learn a lot on portraits there.
I like those dragon studies you did. Keep working and posting!

thanks for stopping by & leaving a message, Jester!
I certainly will do just that. Gimli's lesser known cousin, Gluhn of the Awkward-Legs, should be coming up tonight (CET).
Maybe I should take the dragon a step further...

be that as it may, quite pleased with the top bit, esp. the hands, which are far from perfect but a lot better than I could previously do.

Hey man,
You are on the right track with the king's face. Some proportional and structural issues here and there, but it just requires more practice.
Same goes for the green one and the.. is that an elephant?
The dragon too.. but what's he doing? licking himself? He reminds me of my cat.. lol
Well, I think from what I've seen, this dwarf is the best one yet.. though it could use some work. He stands like he's gotta pee and looks rather scared. but thats IMHO.
Still a fairly good picture. Keep on posting hose images, I want to see your progress:)

Thanks TJ - the dragon is indeed doing that all too familiar cat thing... How else do they keep those scales so shiny?
I found some good head tutorials and I think I see my mistakes. Those darn legs, though, I'm not so sure about. I'm gonna start using some kind of reference for my poses, because now you said it, I must agree that the dwarf is in dire need of a pee...
More's on the way:chug:
