Man! - having got halfway through this pic and then experience a major computer software rebuild thanx to a stupid error in editing the registry (and not having a backup...oops...), plus having to wait a few days more while I got the power adaptor replaced for the laptop (on warrenty thank goodness), and then having to start all over again - it's finally finished!!!

Steve Firchow - one of the big names in the coloring world of comics - was kind enough to send me the full size, hi res inks for this one and a few others, so as far as I know the original B&W pic isn't available online anywhere. Nice to have something original isn't it?... :+P

Comments welcome as always

cheers
Sean

This is awsome even though the Hulk would win. :P

Anyways what I really like about this is how you use green to pull the image together so that it focus's on the Hulk and Darkness.

Woah there. Did you redraw them together as-is ?

Um, ok, I like the drawing itself, but i get the feeling like it's cut and paste, in the sense that Hulk's green is like 20 shades away from that rest of the green in there. Since the sky is blue and the light coming from the moon looks blue but its not having an effect on the Hulk. So, if anything, the highlights on the front should be blue, I think, or at least blue-ish I would go into photoshop and give the Hulk a huge glob of opaque blue overcoating in <color> mode.

Something like this maybe (hope you don't mind i touched it up) :

May I just point out the credits down the side of the picture on the left which state that the:

Pencils = Marc Silvestri
Inks = Joe Weems

and the COLOUR only is by ME!

Steve Firchow also sent me the original coloured cover that he did and I referenced the flats from this, then put it away and coloured the rest, so the green is from that pic. Personally I don't like the retouched effort - it's too desaturated now.

The pic looks different now that I'm on a desktop PC (as I write this) where the colours look much more intense with a CRT monitor. I normally work on a laptop to colour stuff...

awwwwsome yo. :D

but... :blahblah: ..in my opinion i'm think the touch up is KINDA tight... the idea is great... i like how the blue shiz turned out... but SEAN.. you may wanna... do SOMEWHAT of what he did... but i agree it's too desaturated up in tha other version..

just my input... honestly it's amazing either way...
