I agree with davi: the last one is beautyfully rendered... the sand is well drawn and the tones are near perfection for me :p
the copter and the plane seem sketchy but I still love the style... congratulation dude !

The first one is great. I like the way it's coloured. Like wet aquarell. Some filters on it?

Yasec: no, just the paintbrush.

Are they paint-overs and/or photo montages, or have you painted them by looking at reference pics?

I think I'm gonna start crying if you say you have painted all the little details in the sand on the last one.

I don't think I'd have the patience to do that.

Nice work either way. :)

(crit: personally I would stay away from the Photoshop 'special' brushes though, like the 'Scattered Leaves' brush you've used in the first one, on the sky there. It just sticks out - at least to someone who knows PS. That's just my opinion though, others may disagree.)

No, i look through some reference pics to get an idea of the object and then i paint. The last picture Desert Sea involves a few photo elements(the sand hill, i then painted 3/4 of the ground) That was my first attempt on making a matte and composit. I was gonna animate the dust etc but it never happened.

Hehe, i dont normally like to use/see those brushstrokes either. I was testing PS7 new features when i was making that picture. I worked pretty fast just to get a mood (2h) and thats why it maybe looks a bit "lazy" =P Thank you for your comments.
