I was a metal head growing up but in the last 3-4 years I've really gotten into electronica, especially trance. Lately I'm also really digging D&B/Jungle too.
Tiesto/PvD/Oaky/Ferry Corsten/BT are probably some of my fav trance producers.
Dieselboy is the bomb...his shit was my gateway to D&B/Jungle (of which I've really only started listening to a couple months ago).
I do some living room DJing (basically just for myself, but also for some parties that I and my friends throw), but it's hard because I'm so new to the genre I really don't know the names of a lot of the great producers. Usually I'll end up experimenting by getting someone I've never heard of who has a remix on the album by someone I know. Right now I'd really like to get some more D&B albums, but I know squat all about D&B acts. If any of you have any reccommendations on groups to check out along the lines of Dieselboy and the stuff he mixes, I'd love to hear it. :)

I'm also a Dieselboy fan, The DungeonMasters Guide is tight as hell! Anyhow, here's a few that I haven't seen mentioned yet
TRANCE:
Paul Van Dyke
Chemical Brothers
BT
ATB
Junkie XL
Darude
Ian Van Dahl
Hemstock/Jennings
Lasgo
MAINSTREAM ELECTRONICA:
TCM (The Crystal Method)
Fatboy Slim
Bassment Jaxx
JAPANESE:
Yoji Biomehanika aka Yoji (from Japan, his stuff is amazing, if you can find some of his CD's or have the opportunity to go to Japan, snatch up everything you can find)
Boom Boom Satellites
hope that does something for you8)
for anyone local to Seattle try to grab some of The Funkist aka DJ Flave's stuff, I have never seen a better DJ set and wish that he had a big label pick him up so I could have easier access to his work.

what I meant by main stream was that they actually get regular radio play.. electronica isn't really played on local radio. Any artist that's featured on a compiliation album of course is mainstream which covers all but 2 of the artists I posted. I didn't know how obscure we were going with this one. Since when is The Funkist and Yoji mainstream? Maybe I'm a little behind the times here..
