Soooo...

here´s my next entry. Tried to imitate my markertechnique with photoshop and i think it came out quite good.

Well for those who don´t know what this is supposed to be... it is a screwdriver. ;-)

i'm not much of a master but i'll try to fill in.

On the first pic: it looks realy good.
If i realy have to comment i'l say that:
1 - the outer edge of the big elipse (far in the back) is loosing the perspective - maybe due the "tooths".
2 - (don't mind this) - the background is so flat it is striking.

Fortunately for me (since i comment) the second pic fas more flaws in terms of axis - se the handler of the screwdriver goes one way ant the rest.. a bit skewish - lovely light and color.
I would love to see something softer in terms of rentering, with more detail, texture, warm & cold colors etc.
Anyway.. keep it up!

You´re right...
I still got problems with that perspective thingy. Sometimes i´ll loose focus and don´t see the obvious.
I´ll have to learn that you don´t have to finish a piece in like 2 hours...

This is a quick shading study, done in 20 minutes.
I got this tip of of Prometheus page, and i am going to do this kind of stuff till i know how to do it without reference.

This is my first try, and i still have a long road to go. But in the end it´ll pay.

the picture is pretty much the same as above.
I tried to get the values better, so if you squint your eyes you should get the feeling of a photo.

I tried to limit the strokes and used the paintbrush and another custom brush

it took me around 45 minutes
