why are the animals in cages?...seems like a free animal makes a much better photo than a captive one...i really like the fork and knife....so simple, yet....they speak to me..nice work

Hey man I totaly agree about the animals not being caged and all but this is an SPCA ... so the animals are usually caged (they are strays or unwanted pets) so while it's sad I had nothing to do with their caging...
I picked the subject matter for 2 reasons, 1 I had to make a project on a non-profit organization and 2 it's very sad how some people treat pets. Most of the animals in the pics were probably put to sleep a week after I took the photos (if no one adopted them first ofcourse).

man I took those as an afterthought ... just to fill up the film canister, and the lighting was terrible (it was almost in the dark)

these are incredibly beautiful, LaPalida...you have a great eye. The SPCA pics are harrowing and heartbreaking, you really brought out the personality of the animals (I hope they all found good homes *hugs my dog* I adopted mine the day before he was to be put down). The horse pictures and the close-up utensils are also really great, honestly some of the best photography I have seen in a long time. I took a photo class recently, and I wasnt so great at it, but I learned that some people just have a knack for capturing that instant of emotion, and making the viewer really feel something evocative. Anyway, I digress...my point is, you better post more of your work, or else expect my wrath.
