The Flying Machine thread Scott and Sparth got into last week got me inspired to stop lurking and post up this.

I have to confess that I have been pouring over Scotts tutorials lately too.

C&C would be more than welcome and I promise to post some more.

Eldar! ha ha, thats a great painting, i'm not great at vehichles, actually i dont know where to begin, but the bottom wing (closest to the bottom right) the perspective seems off... and the whole vehichle has a slight curve to it, as if the vehichle isnt straight, if you looked at if from straight on, as if standing in front of it, it looks like it would be leaning to the left a bit? i hope i was of some help, a beautiful painting~ i still prefer the blood angels! :chug: :D

I think that wing is not low enough. It appears the idea is to make it look like the craft is banking. The wing looks more swept to the rear as opposed to being lower. The root starts out proper. Out towards the tip is where it goes back instead of down.

Nice idea and background.

Now I see the curve the other guy mentioned. It starts right around the circular grill part. If it went straight back instead of curving to the center of the craft....the shadow in grill depression, if evened out or slanted the other way might change the curve also.

That other guy has a sharp eye. Thanks for showing me how to see that battlemonkey.

I think the back wings are not equal. The left one is shorter that the right one. The other stuff the battlemonkey said is also true.
