hey guys,

man it feels good to post something finished. i managed to sneak in a couple commisioned illustrations amidst my regular job.. it's nice to do something completely different, and a topic i wouldn't pick on my own. i didn't have a lot of time to work on it, so i'm happy with what i did during that small bit.

anyhow here's an illustration i did for vajra enterprises www.vajraenterprises.com (http://www.vajraenterprises.com) for a RPG book coming out as a sequel to their already published Fates Worse Than Death. it has to do with the mentally ill and self-destructive.

this is tavin, without giving it all away, basically she's a young girl who's addicted to implants but has pulled out most of them. enjoy!

whoe! depressing... nice work , might have been cool to see more signs of her implant self-removal, like gigantic scars on her arm.

Pretty cool. Did you use yourself as a reference for her face? It doesn't look like you, per se, but it has a hint of your self portraits in it.

I also would have liked to maybe see the implant aspect played up a little more...it's hard to see some of the details you've added to her (scars on her hands and face, studs accross her forehead)...but not really sure how you could do that without drawing _too much_ attention to it. That, and the perspective on the trashcan lid and the wall above it seem a bit wonky to me.

But it has a nice illustrative style...sketchy, yet somehow solid and clean nonetheless. Wish I could figure that out.

Cool. That's great that you have a couple of commissions going. I really like the composition in this. Imo, it probably could use some more lighter grays. Just my thoughts. Looks good :)
