Well for starters
If this is an introduction to a character. I think we need a little more.
The image its self dosn't provide much insite into this character. All we see is her back. It could be anyone.
If this is the case then a nice description of who she is or why she is looking out there. Seems like youve got a story to this. =) what is it.
Now thats just my crit as it being a piece to introduce us to a character.
But as a painting youve got some reall nice stuff going on. The background is coming together nicely..I like the trees. Maybe a bit more saturated than it needs to be on the whole though.
Try out a bit more detail in what looks to be a small brick wall she has placed the rose on. Bring that out more and define it a bit better.
She looks good. I like the skinn tones.
Im not sure whats going on with the dress from the back...the light hitting it looks like there is something jolting out from the back part of her..just on her right. If you see what I mean.
On the whole though your doing a good job. Potental for sure. Good talent.
The last thing id like to comment on would be the border. I think its way to distracting. The ivy is just a bit to bright and takes my eyes right to it.. If you want the border id try a slightly darker and perhaps thinner border. =)
Keep it up
Your doing good
