OK i def saw Logan walking up the steps out of the subway, along with Iron Man incarnation. Very cool nod to those characters if thats what you were after. hehe Only thing I have is, is the main character a bad guy or what? he kinda has an evil look on his face the whole way.

This is cool. It reads really well and is well drawn out. I will admit that he does look evil alot though. My favorite scene is when he is bustin out the window. That looks awsome.

Great drawings, but why the heck did he jump out of the window...? Just to show off?

beautiful pencils!

I like how you shape your characters.
and the line work for your shading is nice.

shadows might be of a handfull for inkers, but that doesnt mean it wont look good!

I can tell you put alot of time into this,
because you can see some progression/change from the 1st page to the last :)

I love how by the last page, you can't even tell it's the same artist anymore. You improved a lot just within 5 pages, it's pretty amazing. Story-telling wise, I think there's a few things that could've been more exciting here and there.

Thanks guys, do you really think I improved that much just over 6 pages?
And He's not evil, at least not in the same way Dr. Doom is. The expression on his face was mostly just to show off his cockiness, that he can do all this crazy, death-defying stuff without breaking a sweat, as if it's just part of his daily routine.
And the reason he jumps out the window (and it'll be a little more clear when the dialog is added in) is because he's given an assignment to collect a Tyrannosaurus (presumably to be stuffed) and there's a big fat bonus if it's done quickly, so he doesn't want to waste time with something as trite as the stairs. Also he seems to be a bit of an adreneline junkie.

Masterful stuff, Reilly. Your use of line is truly inspirational, and your expressions are all nothing less than perfection. Great sequentials on your wensite, too. My crit would be on the whole "subway station to dinosaur land" sequence. I had to re-read the comic to pick up the "transdimentional portal" sign, and even then, it didn't seem to make much sense.

i think the portal sequence works fine and it will be even more clear once it's colored. the fact that it doesn't really make sense, well, it's just one of those stories, so you can't really critique that. if the artist says there's a time portal in the subway, then there's a time portal in the subway. Good fortune that the T-Rex was waiting there for him too! My question is, how does he get that thing back through the door? And who wants the damn T-Rex anyway? Inquiring minds want to know...

What can I say, this is really cool. I havn't seen much pre-coloured comic art. Makes one appreciate how much effort and talent goes into a comic book.

Smokin work. I didn't really like the first couple of pages but the middle and the end the drawing style just has much more feeling to it. Awesome. I love when he leans on the rex to use his cell phone. cool sh1t.

Darkstream: Heh, that's funny. I also immediatly thought "Logan" when I saw that guy on the stairs.

Hm, I didn't pick up on the transdimensional portal either. Are we going to get to see it colored and with dialouge?

As always sir brown your work is badazz! I just have to say it has been a pleasure knowing you over the past six years. Your work is always improving and i love the use of perspective you have been using lately.

It looks great, but what are the storry, I assume that this is in the middle of something, or does the guy just go berserk at the office and jump like 20 storries and then runs away?

reilly! holy shit!

hey man, this is awesome! I can tell you really broke your back on this, and it's totally worth it. the city and the jungle, really lush environments. I love the trex, it's a good story hook and it's really well drawn too. kick ass. what anthology is this for? I'll pick up a copy when it's out.

Seriously well done; those backgrounds are increadable. Amazingly conveinient positioning of both creatatious [or whichever one it was] period and t-rex though...

nice work. wow, that tyrannosaurus sucks if two pistols drops him.

Reilly
August 18th, 2004, 11:54 PM
No, the positioning of the T-Rex is not convienient, it is well planned, and the T-Rex doesn't suck, Adam Fox just has really good aim :P

And the story is going to printed in Anthologica. You can find out more info on the book here (http://www.otisframpton.com/Anthologica.html).
