Working on My Portfolio

This is the first piece I want to have in my portfolio..It's AKIRA, my style... please bear in mind this is the INITIAL pen work for this.. I will also be painting this image but I wanted to run it by anyone willing to critique it.. I feel it needs somthing more.. I thought maybe more characters or a big lazer gun laying at kanedas side or his bike.. I also had buildings in the BG but it looked too busy. .. please help me if anything springs to mind. . or give me props and encouragment :) thanks alot. . .

looks rad, reminds me of a young geof darrow.
im thinkin maybe a grey tone wash in the bg to set it off a bit.
im envious ass hell of your line work. i dont think ill ever be that clean.lol.

thanks alot man.. I will definitely drop the value of the BG.. maybe I should do a rough value in greyscale. . .

I'd like to see some different lineweights, but if it's your style...

ya.. I was going to do that.. just got a great new set of copic pens.. but I thought I'd scan this "flat" one so as not to lose the stage.. I might paint on this one and then overlay with the new varied linework.. thanks for lookin at it! <3
