eh sometimes things take a while..not everything gets a response right away and sometimes it will get a thousand views and nothing, so don't fret..remember this forum has people from all over the world diggin around in it so sometimes we don't have time to crit and compliment everything. now that that's over with!
pic 1) i like where you're goin with that big swing getting ready to happen with the guy in the back ground, i think that pose could use just a little more work for readability....meaning because of the darkenss it's hard at first to discern what's goin on with those arms especially. and also that guy should be leaning a bit more back on that swing to really emphasize what he's up to, that should give you a little more shoulder showing to help seperate the two arms better. also i like how you can see the attackers shadow creeping up to where the orc? goblin? can almost see it. slick:) as for the terrain, i'd soften up those mountains a bit, give them some fog to seperate them from the foreground, not literally layers of fog, though that might be cool to compliment the predawn feel of the light...but a nice greying of the overall mountains. and lighten the contrast of them. the greass in teh foreground is also a bit on the dark green side, try and bring it more towards the lighter yellow green, and don't be afraid of giving it a little more detail. something i think that might kick ass would be a just rising sun just to the left(viewer's left) of the sword, coming up in the mountains there, you can have the hot sun colors accent the edges of the mountain tops and glint off the armor and sword of the attacker...it'd be pretty.
pic 2) since that's just more of a sketch i say fis anatomy, particluarly how high those biceps meat the shoulders right now, and that arm on the left is a big funky hands and veins don't look too bad, also maybe having him leaning forward into the assault or having him knocked kind of off kilter by that arrow in him would be cool...
...that's all i got:)
keep on truckin!

also, purely out of my taste and style... surrounding the blade master by his vanquished foes would be badass!
