Lead Texture Artist
This position will be responsible for producing and overseeing a consistent texture style and palette control for all visual assets in a large scale MMOG project.
Essential Functions:
Must assist the Art Director in creating the documentation necessary to maintain and describe all pipelines for Texture creation to the Producer
Responsible for overseeing and producing all texture assets in Auto Assault
Responsible for standardizing both resolution and palette requirements on all texture assets in Auto Assault
Responsible for previewing all generated texture assets in the Auto Assault Client prior to their release to the development environment
Must be an active participant in a bi-monthly Art Team meeting discussing Art related issues to productivity, process, work flow and quality
Must be an effective listener, able to resolve problems, empathic and decisive
Must take advantage of new technology features
Must motivate co-workers and foster a positive work environment
Must participate in game playtest sessions
Position reports to Art Director
Abilities:
Must be able to assess risks
Must be able to anticipate art related requirements from design documentation
Must be able to take responsibility for decisions and actions
Proven Oral & Written Communications Skills
Proven Organizational and Analytical skills
Functional Knowledge:
Photoshop 6.0 or greater
3DSMax 5.0 or higher

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least two years of experience working with computer game texture art assets
Must have a fine arts degree or equivalent work experience
Must have strong understanding of color/ palette development and implementation
Must have at least one game credit as a texture lead
Must have a working knowledge of Massively Multiplayer Games
Must have strong people skills
Must be willing to relocate to Denver, CO area for full-time employment
Salary based on experience; 401k, health insurance, and other benefits provided
