Hi there,

This is some of my "work"... I am not a professional photographer (as you can see from the pics) but I am confident with my results. So, what do you think?
I use a Nikon CoolPix 880 digital camera.

Regards,
Alithenake

You must be patient with the comments. This photography section isn't so well known yet.
You got some great photos here. The fly is amazing. My favorite is "Commercial"...but it would look nicer even without the lettering. Perhaps, erasing it with Photoshop would do the trick. Great pics overall.

I also like Commercial very much. But regarding photoshop.. I am not so good at it, so if you like, fell free to modify the picture and post it. If any help, I can send you the original one (2048x1536 resolution). And maybe you can remove my fingerprints from the glass (i hate those and didn't see them until now)

PS: just came out from the seaside and have some pics to post... soon

I was in a hurry at the seaside and took some pictures (all on full auto and thus not so great)

But they came out pretty good (I must admire the camera capabilities on full auto: it is one of the greatest I ever seen)

hey dude, great work.....in the angels pic, are they real cloud formations?
very impressed all round.....keep it up, and don`t worry, people will see your work......

I have used alot Ulead photoimpact so Photoshop is not on my taste... but yes, the Angels photo was altered a little in PS... the clouds were in that position and form/color... I only used liquify tool to pull those wings a little. Otherwise no modification in other pictures (excepting frame and crop/resize)

Thanks you for your comments

Here it is one of the above picture made of thousands of smaller pictures (all made by me ;)

Download the picture to your PC and use a image viewer like ACDSee to view different zoom levels... all zoomed out is the girl, all zoomed in are the component pictures :)

I like the ideea... it took almost 3h to generate it... and btw, sorry for the huge size (shouldn't be a problem on broadband :p )

Hi
I used Photoshop 7,
1. select “Image”
2. drop down to “Image size” and click
3. in “resolution” change the setting to 300 dpi, this means you can zoom up the image without it looking pixalated
4. with zoom tool, zoom in to the area you want to work on
5. then find the clone stamp tool, select suitable brush size
6. place the tool next to a blemish you wish to remove, press and hold “Alt” key and left click, this selects a piece of image that you can now paint over the blemish with, the tool follows your painting moves, so you may have to
reselect the tool several times
7. To remove any sharp edges of alteration, select the
“Healing tool brush” adjust the brush size to suit and
paint across the edited parts, this blends and smooth’s the look.

Good luck :confident

The dead monk picture is awesome. The colors make it creepy... its cool. And the Ad on the Café the vibrant colors are awesome and I like the bush in the corner, it really adds to the picture. Nice work!

yeah... it was also pretty creppy to shoot that with the dead monks. I had to put my hand and camera through some steel bars inside a small room, full of bones.... yuck.. but the result was very nice...

anyway i like your work.

Wow, those shots of the insects and plants are stunning. That extremely up-close (for lack of a better adjective) is one of my favorite types of photography, and one that I use often. Do you have any type of special lens?

alithenake
October 18th, 2004, 04:34 AM
Tgfx - I don't bribe them... I only give them a drink.. lol... just kidding

Wolf - no special lens 'cause I don't have yet a SLR digital camera. I only use a Nikon Coolpix 880, which is very good at macro modes (almost all nikon coolpix cameras are very good at that)

check out my website for more interesting (i hope) photos. updated montly.

regards and thanks for the comments...

the name of that "beast" in english is caterpillar

i'm envious of the macro abilities of your camera, and your abilities to capture the bugs so still.

i think climb 2 top is your best photo. The composition and focus are really good and its a macro shot.

i find it funny that the only type of spider i've gotten a picture of, you also have:
