A portrait sketch done during one pose of my life drawing class. Used 4B mechanical, inspired by el coro.

hmmm...i think "inspired by el coro" would fit more than "coro style"...

I really expected some coro-style-stuff...

A face with character i think

uuum... he did say "inspired by el coro"

I think it looks great tho the eye lid drops a lot on the outside corner and the nose is very large. faces are tough for me so I can't really tell you what it needs. Good shading work... I would like to see more head attached to it in the future.

She really did have a massive nose like that, though maybe I overdid it on the eyelid.

Oh, and I renamed the thread.

that outline is a bit heavy so tone that down a little. start off light but confident when starting a drawing learning to be delicate but confident takes time. your shading reads flat sometimes. alot of areas get lost and you dont know whats going on there {like under the nostril and around the eye} dont start shading until your countour is solid and the porportions are correct. all the shading in the world wont help you if your face is out of wack. its a pretty nice drawing though. keep it up man.

hey, thats dope man. looks pretty good to me. that 4b is the shit, huh? the only thing you have to be careful of is going to dark too soon. try to sketch lightly as possible, then "paint" it in with the tone. it requires a bit of practice, but it is a very important foundation to work on. great attempt, im flattered you though of me, hehe...-c36
