I'm sure this question has been answered somewhere in this forum at one time or another, but I'll ask any way. I'm currently looking to work as a concept artist and I want to get my portfolio to as many companies as possible, (could be over 100). I don't have money to print over 100 portfolios, so I'm looking for acceptable alternatives. All I can think of is to make a brochure that contains 5-10 of my best images, then providing my portfolio on cd plus a link to my site if they are interested in further viewing. Any ideas people?
Thanks,
-j

how about a cd with everything in the order you want displayed like a standard paper portfolio ?
A CD inlay of 2 or 3 images on paper long with your website link and on the CD put stuff in order like
01_resume.doc
02_bestpiece.jpg
03_goodpiece.jpg
04_okpiece.jpg
05_greatpiece.jpg
06_okpiece.jpg
07_okpiece.jpg
08_kickasspiece.jpg
09_movie_comments.txt
10_demoreel2004.avi
11_linetests.avi
12_closingwords.txt
These are great to review. Simple, to the point, efficent. I personally think frill and stuff are a waste of time for the artist. Just my 2 cents tho
One tip : good paper can sometimes win the heart of some art directors...
