damn that orange is punchy! it kind of hurts my eyes at first but i like the contrast in rendering between the super glossy stuff and the messy scattered brushwork.

Lol - my first thought was "Ok, so you've done a paint-over on a picture collage", but then I get to know it's oil on wood! :D

Wow, that makes it really impressive!
The proportions and light are so accurate that you fooled my eyes there. :D

No crits from me then of course. Very impressive work!

Wow this is very disturbing (in a complimentary way). I feel uneasy looking at these pieces. The colors you chose are extremely effective. Keep up the good work...looks awesome.

thanks for the comments, everyone-
jason- the first image is 30" x 48", oil on wood
the second is 20" x 16", oil on wood-
the surface on both have quite a bit of scratching and built up paint...
the larger piece is about 30 hours of deliberation-
the second painting is about 5 hours...
the intent was to create these to show-
the larger image was in a group show that just ended in cleveland, ' the toy show' at 1300 gallery, and the second image was just completed- and i entered it into a group show in california at La Luz De Jesus gallery... theme of that show is 'uncommercial art by commercial artists'...
jason and andrew- see you in a few weeks...
