ITS SOOO GOOOD
these filmakers raised a bunch of different species of birds, and raised them around people, cameras, and a glider plane ...and basically flew with them as they migrated, documenting their journeys. i think the whole project took like 3 years. its really quite amazing..you should go out and buy it!! fo reals!! cool soundtrack too.
we gotta support these kinda movies so people will keep making them

Oh man, you might think a movie documenting birds in flight would be boring, but I couldn't tear myself away! The shots are so amazing and beautiful. People around me kept saying, "They must have used special effects on that shot." Nope, it's all real.
Great movie,

The documentaries attached to the DVD are amazing as well. The logisitcs that went into this production... insanity. Such dedication. Everything they went through is so astonishing... it was funny to see the crew, they got so attached to the animals, raised from birth so they would not be afraid of humans. The Pelicans especially were apparently very receptive to human companionship, and it's heartbreakingly cute to see the crew interacting with them, and being afraid and comforting them and sleeping in their roosts with them when they all got a virus in Africa. It made me want a Pelican for a pet... :D

I flipped this on a couple of months ago without realizing what it was. I thought to myself, "Cool, a Discovery Channel thingie on birds."
Boy was I wrong. The next thing I know I've spent 2 hours on the sofa watching birds fly.
A very mesmerizing and peaceful work indeed!

Anyone knows where I can buy this? The official site doesn't seem to have a shopping cart...

I love it so damn much, it's aways runnin' on my DVD player!
I was so damn pissed when it didn't win 2003 best doccumentary, and Michael Moor won instead.
