Hey, I love those dinosaur drawings! Excellent work. Of course, I'm a sucker for all things paleontological, so I may be biased. nice color patterns and anatomy. The incline in the brachyceratops image kind of bothers me though. I already posted these on the creature sketch thread, but I'm sure no one ever goes there so here they are again...Stoopid Dinomasaurs...

This is of course no real dinosaur, but I hope it's okay anyway... I really like the Rapetosaurus...

Sean - Hahahah I love those! I saw them on the creature sketch thread, which inspired me to give this one a try. I dig the beefy proportions on your dinos, especially the big, thick neck on the Sauropod/Brontosaurus-styled one. Very cool.

Eldorian - Thanks! I hope to have at least one more up tonight. Your little guy is most welcome.

Thanks for the replies, keep them coming! Maybe this could turn into a quick sketch theme.

wow these are great- ive seen some shows in the past where people actually dubbed as "paleoartists" gave commentary on dinosaurs/how they lived/what color they may have been etc. : they held a unique position between art and science- and worked directly with fossilized bones to visualize the animals (they didnt just draw goofy illustrations for kids' books and what not) .i donno sounded like a cool field of work. (are these just for fun or for work? they certainly look proffesional :D )

Burn Things - That'd be me :D it is a very cool field. It's not a full-time gig yet, it takes a while to get known. So for the time being I'm working in games.
These pics are mostly for myself, except for the Carnotaurus (It's for a console game that I can't talk about just yet).

Cool creature MessFX! Ya know, I've often talked with other paleoartists about all the dinosaurs we'll never get to see. Dino bones are only preserved from certain climates, animals that died in say a rainforest wouldn't be because of the acidic soil. The rainforest today houses hundreds of bizzare creatures. I would think that dinosaurs would have filled the same rolls as mammals have today. You could try and take a current animal and design a dinosaur that would take it's place...like a dinosaur version of a kangaroo. That could be very cool.

TARGETE- Thanks for the compliment! I am also a big Mccreery fan –his attention to detail boggles my mind. Crash is one of my favorite artists.

Digisaur- Thanks! Your work sounds very interesting. I wish I had the opportunity to study Paleontology. You might enjoy the book “Animal,” published by the Smithsonian Institute. It details thousands of different species of wildlife and is a great resource –especially if you are interested in creature design.

Dinosaur?... I think that's what I like to do! This is the thread I've been waiting for!

I apologise for my use of an emoticon. Awesome work, Digisaur. You're monolophosaurus was definitely my favorate although your sauropod was great too. I know how tough it is to get the proportions right on them too. You pulled it off nicely.

"Anyone else here have dino pics, post them!"

What the hell.

Hi Exo,
I believe I've seen your stuff before, maybe on the Dino Mailing List?
Anyway, I dig your Utahraptor, and I love the colors on Spinosaurus. Very cool :D
We're finally getting a breather from work this weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to post some new stuff.
Anyone else have dino-related paintings, drawings, or concept art?

Wow these are great. I never thought I would draw dinos except that (which incidentally is sort of uncanny) I just read Jurassic Park and well it made me want to draw a T-Rex. It's a pen drawing but nontheless my first dino ever :). Its based on a Tyrannosaurus but it's not really.
