I've really enjoyed what I've seen and read the past two months since first coming here to Concept.org. So I'm going to take the plunge and post a series I've recently finished. I'm working on a series of works inspired by all those classic murder mystery films posters, "Dial 'M' for Murder" for example, as well as a lot of other posters from that time, with a nod to the pulp fiction of that era. They are each 8.5x11 inches in oil. The first and third were painted each within a day. The second, well, all I can say about that is, "I hate window blinds". I would have liked to have had more time to work on them, but I didn't. Comments and criticisms are most welcome.
if it doesn't appear, it can be seen here:

Nice...i like them a lot...they have some atmosphere...you caught the feeling of this films very well...
The 3rd one is my fav...but some (more) shadows around her to show that she is lying on the bed would be fine. Also the fan should be blurred a little bit...currently it looks as it were on the same level like the woman and the bed...
Post more! :)

nice.. I love series...
They all seem to lack some depth in them.. they seem flat.. look at your casting shadows.. etc.. also like fozzy said, try and blur the fan... keep em coming look great.
PS Love the surfer on your site.. can you post a larger version..
peace.

Thanks guys,
I agree that some more depth attention could be done. I'll post up some changes when I get the chance. I find it hard sometimes to bust stuff out during all nighters and be as objective to it as I would like to be. Sometimes it's best to have a couple of days to come back to something with a fresh perspective. Deth Jester- Thanks about the Surfer. I haven't a great shot of it, except from what I could eek out on my small digital camera. I'll see about posting up a larger one when it's scanned in. Also, I'll post up some more of the series as I finish them. Thanks again for the comments and criticisms.
