Right, two character designs done in two different styles by me. Here's hoping Photobucket treats them well.

Not bad! I don't think that the cyborg looks very alien, however. You obviously study human anatomy, which reduces the alien feel. The Star Trek pants do add a "spacey" feel, however, while the hook gives him some pirate flavor.

Please tell me that the cowboy is not wearing a Dickie over his shirt. Nice, cartoony colors, with some good characterizations (ears, lip, boots, hands, etc.)

Dunno, what's a Dickie? :)

i perfer the early verison sketch, i'm not a fan of aliens that are just humans with different skin or a bump on their nose, that seems very star trek to me

A Dickie is a turtleneck collar attached to about a quarter of a shirt (no sleeves), that was worn underneath another shirt. Basically a cheap way of achieving a style that was popular before I was around to notice.
You have actually done a good job drawing one.

I like the second one it looks like a good solid piec,e though for the first maybe you shoudl elongate the arms to give it a more wild approatch think of a monkey. and make make the colors more dull, think a rust maybe? thats all the input i could even think of. It looks good though

If these are intended as 3D rotoscope you really have to pay more attention to the sizes of things between each view. If I were to line these up on image planes to use for modelling reference in maya it wouldn't work so well.

The cowboy is a cool character tho.

I really like the cowboy. The fact that he has an underbite on the profile isn't felt enough in the front view. Perhaps playing with your shadow might help. After all, this is one peculiar trait that makes him stand from the "generic cowboy" crowd. Maybe thinking of something else to give him more character ?

That's a really good point. Thanks for the heads up! (and thanks everyone else for their comments).
