if you need more infos about anatomy, make a few google search. it will help.
concerning the first sketch, the back of the head is definitely more round, and larger. if we had that sort of skull were would we put our brain? :D

here's a gif i've just found on google. hope it will help

I think you don't copy quite accurately enough to do the reference images justice.
Might be because some of them are too complex so that you start rushing things.

The lines are too heavy IMO. And play a little with different line weights.
They are better than mine will ever be though. Keep it up.

One thing that might help you a little when your drawing from reference is take you time. There is no rush. When your trying to learn the fundamentals, just take your time and just look at the image, look at the proportions. Take it all in and then start drawing. Even when your ready to start drawing never go straight into details. (you can't do that unless your Marko :D ) Start with the basic shapes and forms of the image and once you have these down correctly the fun starts.

Correct. There are threads that show how to approach drawing from reference.

Gah sucks i didnt get to ur comments before I did this...the threads could of helped...anyway this is what I did after i read "I didnt bring justice to the pic"...i was really only trying to get a fell of how the pic would and a few things to pic up on...this one i took a lil longer and shadded in more detail and my way...mistake i did was i erased the more darker outlines since i know outlines are not good from last years art class. Anyway this is the pic...i might do another one but for now this is it..im pooped.
BTW thanks for the comments :)

Well it's really good to see that you took the time to finish the picture and explore the shading. I believe personally it is always good not to abandon a picture but to try to finish and fix it even though it may be a struggle when you see the flaws while you are working... That is a learning moment though and valuable!

The most immediate problem i see is that the girl is missing the back of her skull. The back of the head should be much larger. There are of course more things to work on but that is the most immediate to me.

you're showing decent improvement with each post and learning well from the crits that have been offered. I too would suggest learning more about general anatomy. Jason Manley's suggestions on that matter should do the trick.

HEWWO!

The two jasons that commented..thanks lol im glad u see my improvment. I just did this sketch and Im alot happier with it..when I saw the refrence pic of that girl I new exactly that she had to be in the front. It has a more poster type feel than art but i like it. Clothes and more indepth expression and all that good stuff soon.

resized it...im sure big sketchs get on your nerves.

better still. keep at it. You ought to start your own sketchbook thread and post something new in it every day. That will help you to improve.

Study anatomy and keep practicing.

I'm not an expert so I think I'll shut up now.
