So the 2nd meetup of artists in Seattle rocked! Anyone else who wants to come out is welcome (dns2k from watts (encinitas) is going to be in town for the next scheduled meet, august 13th...woot!). Feel free to post any sketches or pictures you guys did or have...

and now, lets bring back the memories, and share them with our CA buddies...

This is a look down Pine Street, the Aurafice cafe is the building with the neon red circle in it.

when the Aurafice closed at midnight, I had suggested we could go somewhere else open later to sketch more. Dicks hamburgers, on the other side of town was a good spot, so we headed on over there until 2am. we couldn't get enough! Dicks was cool, bigger, and lots of people were in there eating and talking loudly! Oh, and there was an intense discussion about boobs. uh..how to draw them.

Also, there was some talk of the new format in the finished section, and all of it that i heard and took part in was positive. Seems everyone is pretty pleased with the new setup (myself included). So kudos to the bosses and pros, here's to hoping it stays active and successful. :chug:

here are links to nova's scans of the sketchjams. you can see them biger and clearer...

We'll be contemplating a bigger (and open later) place for the next one. This was alot of fun, thanks for coming everyone. spread the word, lets get more people at the next one, and do some art to share in the mean time....

It's too bad I couldn't make it on Saturday, looks like you guys had a blast!

How would people feel about meeting at Third Place Books in Bothell? It's big, and has coffee, restaurants, AND books. I don't know how late it's open, though.

Btw, the sketches look great... I love the bigheaded guy that's picking the monster's nose.
