Hello,

My name is Alex and I am posting under my older brother's name.

I really need help in developing my art and painting skills.

Here is some of my art. I am currently 14 years old.

Thanks all who can assist and point me in the right direction.

Sorry, Mr. Manley, I fix.

I love your art!

What is the best way to learn how to paint? I have lotsa books my brother has given me on painting. But I also want to learn to do it in photoshop.

Hey nice work. You have some good detail only thing I can see is the anatomy and what not....im not all that great yet, but just work on anatomy and composition. Other than that i have no clue of what else to say.

i love your trees, great job on those! my trees are like... stylized savanna trees... im going to have to borrow your design. other than that... i don't see much up. i think that you could show more contrast... your pictures seem very light. if i could get bigger scans that would be awesome also!

wow, there is some really good stuff here for your age! Keep it up. If you're really into this you will be awesome in a few short years! My brain is too fried right now to give you crits @__@ sorry. It's never too early to study anatomy, and to study why the human form works the way it does!

Thanks all! I really appreciate taking the time out to help me out.

I am really studying alot of books on composition and anatomy that my brother who is pro writer got for me. Also some books from the Brandywine painters my brother got for me to look at.

Hopefully I will steadily improve.

Does anyone know of any good online tutorials to really teach you how to paint in PS7? I am studying painting now and it would be good to know how to paint my characters and stuff.

Thanks!

I see your into animes, well first off, draw realistically.
Learn realistic figure drawing, then branch off into your styles. (like your 3rd picture)

The Spirited Away drawing (last one), the distribution of the blacks are not even.
For all your drawings, give it a little more darkness in the shadow areas.

Nice to see your only 14 and into the Brandywine painters. Great works you got man
