I like the style a lot but I'm having trouble reading what's going on, especially the character at the top in front of the light. I think giving the painting a more dominant light source can help it read better. Maybe try to think of how you can improve the composition to lead the viewer's eye to the focal point as well. Right now the characters at the bottom seem pretty separate from what's going on above. Keep up the good work.
