Hey guys! I just stumbled onto this site from a link onto this site from a link on Feng Zhu's portfolio. You guys are pretty talented, to say the least. I'll be asking odd questions here and there, but most of the time you'll see me posting, "Oh wow... that's awesome!"

I've been drawing all my life, like many of you. For a career, I produce commercials for a video game publisher, and do the odd texture work/sound(track) design for contracted game studios.

I'm currently working on a side project of my own right now, called "Red Sky." It has a huge scope, and I'm going for an extremely stylized look to it... thus I picked up my Prismacolor greys and inks and got to work after neglecting it for a couple years. I won't be able to realize my vision unless I concept everything out first -- it also helps that the technology I'll be working with is a few months away from being available. I'm definitely rusty, but I hope to change that. I just turned 22, and my girlfriend got me a nice sketch journal, and I plan on filling it all with this universe I want to create.

I'm looking forward to learn from and with you guys, to say the least. :D

Hi, and welcome! I haven't been around too long myself, as you can see by my joined date. :)

You're lucky to have this as a job. Wish I did. But it's not too late so...

Anyway, good luck on that project of yours. Post some 'in progress' images if you want; it may even help you make it better when you get crits from other professionals here. I know it's helped me a bunch.

Don't be too discouraged by the few replies your posts will get, they will get lots of views at least. Don't know why that's the case, I guess all the members here are very shy... ;)

Again, welcome, and enjoy your stay. Post some drawings.
