I'm seeking a new project where I can contribute my professional illustration and character design skills in a challenging project for a young audience.

I have a professional background in children's illustration for multimedia and books, freelance and in-house (BFA in Communication Arts); just recently completed additional studies in animation art and design where I focused on character design and 3D modeling in order to transition into a creative career for the animation or game development industries.

Experience highlights:
- Recently completed illustrations for a children's book series on Myths and Legends of the World
- Interned at DNA Productions, Inc. on the Jimmy Neutron television series and gained valuable experience about the production pipeline.
- Work experiences include:

book illustration
web and graphic design
corporate large and small business team development
GUI design for software and web applications
concept and character design and storyboard art projects
traditional fine-art private commissions

I would definitely consider a junior or entry-level role (salary or contract, not non-paying) to gain valuable industry experience with the right creative team and project!

Here are a few samples of sketches, WIPs, illustrations, and models that I've done. More of my work can be seen on my website at www.tanjawooten.com (http://www.tanjawooten.com)

I'll be at the SIGGRAPH conference in L.A. next week - send me an email if you'd like to meet in person and discuss potential projects! :)

hey mikecorriero,
appreciate your comments! and thanks for the link to Tony DiTerlizzi's website - I'm not familiar with his work, although after checking out his website, I do recognize some of the children's book covers he's done. :)

Although I'm currently doing some freelance illustrating and storyboards for a Dallas advertising agency, I am still available for full-time employment as a concept artist or visual development artist.

My modelling and texturing skills with Max 5 and Lightwave 7.5 are still growing, and I'm currently learning to work my way around Maya 5. Catch me while you can! :)
