And it's great. I haven't read any of the text yet, but I'll get to that after a few more times of looking at the images. Some great loose sketches are peppered throughout the book too. If you don't want to wait for Amazon to get in gear, just go to Cartouche press. My order took about a week and a half (over xmas). Here's the link. There are some other great art books there too.

thank you!
i hope the book will be in stores soon as well as at amazon. i have my copies and they informed me that the others were getting shipped out to bookstores last week. Also, i was told amazon might not update the page with the book for some time. they run a little behind.
thank you, thank you for your interest! i just hope you do not feel like you wasted money after receiving it.

:waves: fanboy discount? though 26 bucks is very reasonable for a 80 page book. :eat:

I not too familiar with Jon Foster's work but I'm very impressed with his skill. It reminds me a lot of another illustrator I like named Phil Hale. Nice work. Thanks for the heads up.

weee, so i might have my hands on it soon :)
pre-ordered it at amazon germany some weeks ago (after mr foster made his thread concerning the book).
jon: there are a lot reasons to get that book.
of course, foster coolness work in it -> good book :)
inspiration is a good issue, too. just flipping through a book that one didn't touch for a few weeks brings new thoughts to mind.
also, you offer us a lot of insight in your working process here and give lots of tips and such.
that way, we can give you something back and receive something cool (see first two reasons) for it, too.
so, good business for both sides, consumer and producer :)
