let me guess, summer of night by dan simmons?
it makes me think about that atmosphere.

cool work mime. you could have added a bit more depth i suppose, but it's an overall decent cover.

no idea what it is, quite disturbing in an odd way, good painting for a book cover, makes me think of 'Sand Kings' the Outer Limits episode where the guy takes some bugs they found on Mars home to do his own experiments.

Thanxs everyone for the kind replies :)

sparth : thanxs a lot, no thats not Dan Simmons ... I'm not good enough to illustrate Simmons' or other high levels writer books ! But I hope one day I will =)
You're right about the depth, it is a bit too simple ... but i find it very hard for now to stick to the art director's request and to really express myself. That was kinda my first commissionned work. Of course I hope I will improve in that direction too.

red_rook : for the bigh photoshop brushes at the top, in fact in the final cover there is an opaque gradient at the top of the picture, with the typo over it ... thats why i didnt refined the clouds there.

young paddy : hey i remember this episode, it was quite cool ! I always liked outer limits, even if most of the time it was badly directed/played/etc

sojust : i dont think any of you will know it :) It is from a french writer that hasnt been translated for now ...
