Ok, well, this is just an experiment with different brushes and a very early work in progress, but I figured I'd post them because they are of the same character.

One thing I noticed instantly was on the first drawing, there's an impossible streak of light across the right side of the face. Might want to just shade that in. On the second one, there probably wouldn't be so much shadow above the brow, on the forehead. Keep it coming. Or going, as the case may be.

On the first, you mean our right or his right, personally I think both streaks of light would be there.
On the second, I realise that it's not realistic to have it there, but it looks better that way, and increases the character of the uhm... character.
