Heres a scan from my sketch book,A4 size originally ..i did these over the New years break...SP took about 30-40 mins(mirror) ,hand studies of my own hand i did while travelling in the car, about 5 mins each...Eye studies i did by looking into the cars wing mirrors, there real quick 1 min each sketches.
Thanks Spellbound...yeah,all the paintings here ive done with a mouse and Photoshop 5.0,..Im currently saving cash up for Painter and a wacom tablet..

sketch from imagination i did while on the bus....
And a coloured up version of the sketchbook scan i posted up...

scans of some life drawings i did,...i cant wait 4 the oportunity to do more life drawing classes,i enjoy them alot..
none of these took over an hour to do,there mostly 25min-40min poses, quick skethes r a minute each.

those are all really good, especially the ones done with the mouse. Can anyone say "carporal tunnel syndrome"? j/k
What pencils do u use for your sketches? i really like your linework.
January 15th, 2003, 01:14 AM
I use HB`s,2B pencils of any kind,no real difference in brands from experience..Charcoal or Pastel pencils used with a smudging stick(cant remember the proper name 4 them at this time)r great 4 life drawing .. Black colouring pencils r great alternative to normal graphite pencils...paper,any ol shit will do,mainly use cartridge sketch pads.

A coloured up SP i drew on the bus then painted up with photoshop..about 40 mins to colour.
January 18th, 2003, 07:51 AM
A James Dean inspired SP i painted up on Photoshop, also used a mirror,no photos..The proportions ive kept more realistic rather than slightly charicaturing it like some of my recent SP....about an hour to do..

Hey thanks Rusty. No, i'm not self-taught, well, kind of not. i'm a senior in high school right now and so far high school art hasn't taught me damn near anything. i go to a figure drawing class every week, and thats where i really learn stuff. also this past summer attended ringling's precolleg program and learned more in 4 weeks than i had in my 4 years of high school. anyway, thansk again, and BTW those last few Terminator ones rock the fuckin house, great job!
