How do you post artwork?

On other messageboards you can attach images, but since this site is all about images, the bandwidth hit on this server would be enormous if 'everyone' attached their images here.

So to post your image here, you'll need a server to upload it to(a homepage - you can find web space for free or you can pay for it), and then when the image is uploaded to your webspace, you need to use the [IMG] tags in your post here and write the direct address to the .jpg file on your server inside those tags.

Ok, so to post an image, after any text I add:
[http://www.tmihost.com/portfolio/pages/Imagepages/testing.htm]

and then check the auto parse box?

You're soo close! :D

You need the closing tag as well.

You just take the URL(example URL ;)):

http://something.somestuff.com/mypictures/coolpic.jpg

and put the URL inside tags like this:

http://something.somestuff.com/mypictures/coolpic.jpg{/IMG]



(I had to use a { instead of a [ in the last tag, 'cause if I didn't it of course would display a red x...)


Forgot to say that [i]some people get to attach images, but I haven't been around long enough to know why.

Administrators are allowed to upload images to the site, or attach them or whatever you call it. Why? you ask. Well, if they can't attach the images, they'll have to upload them to the server manually...and it seems smarter to just attach images the easy way instead of doing it the hard way :D

Oh, and like you said it wouldn't work if everyone uploaded images here...I believe android's portraits are more than enough to keep the server busy ;)
