The pencils were done by Joe Mad and the inks were done by Townsend. I supplied the colors. This is not an official coloring job or an original piece (I'm not trying to take credit for someone elses work). Please post other TMNT drawings.

This is only the second piece I have ever colored. I used Photoshop Elements. Please critique.

I love em, they keep true to the old style of the origional show but still have an adult facade about them, good work

No offense, but I prefer the original Liquid! colouring (as seen in the December 2000 Wizard magazine, page 37) as it really compliments and makes the Madureira and Townsend work show up. This version can also be seen here:

As far as being helpful, I would study the original more and get a feel for mass and texture. Look how Liquid!'s colours are complimentary and flow well, there are no muddy or obscure areas.

Also, it is polite to mention that you are colouring this as fanart. Signing it after colouring over someone else's work looks a bit like you are trying to say you worked with Madureira and Townsend on this project.

wow. i love it. sort of a todd mcfarlene feel.

please excuse my ignorance, im sure there's lots of other artists who i could more accurately compare this piece with, but atm that's the most similar look i could think of.

anyways, awesome stuff. except, the one with the blue bandana banana whatever seems to have a different shading style than the rest.

what's the medium?
