I know that part of the drawing process if going to require alot of repitition on my part, but I'm at a point where I've got no sort of creative energy to draw upon. So, what I'm asking is, what can I do, to get up motivation to practice and do the repetition, even thought I won't be doing anything all that creative.

Basically the Lather, rinse, repeat for developing the technical skills.

I've always gotten motivation from pretty good movies(Last Samurai, 13th Warrior, etc.). After seeing one, I can always manage to get something going.

I'm having same problem, usually things just come to me when I don't need them...but now I NEED to do a design for a repeatable enemy character, one that has look to repetitive...and I just keep doing masks...yet can't seem to make a imaginitive repetitive identity.

How about throw down some lines on the paper, crumple it up, and then go for a walk.

After you get back from a 10 min walk or so, uncrumple the paper and draw whatever you see? I've done it a couple times and its amazing what my mind pulls out.
