Are there any good books for Painter 7 out there?
I've been to Barnes & Noble, and i found one "Painter 7 WOW" book, and it wasnt really all that helpfull... I thought that this program would have as much books as Photoshop has.

ps is more widely used. it has more practical applications. i have never seen a painter book...and i have looked. i gave up and figured i'd just start using the program everyday.

If you haven't come across it in other threads, Don Seegmiller's book should be out later this year. Also, if you don't have the textures and brushes from his site you're missing some nice brush tweaks. I don't have the Painter 7 wow book, but the Painter 6 WOW book had some nice stuff --hmmm... actually, it was mostly the stuff on the included CD that I found useful.
I also have a book by Wendy Crumpler called "Photoshop, Painter, & Illustrator Side-by-side" that does a great cross-comparison of the three programs as well as illustrating some of the specific things Painter does that Photoshop does not.
I'm expecting more books to start coming out now that the public is seeing ILM/Lucas artists like Church, Teimens and Power use Painter so well on the concept and production-art of Star Wars Ep.II
