i was just wondering whats the average salary for someone in ur respective field... any art related field. i ju wanted to know what kind of money the average artist makes (maybe either freelancing or signed to a company or w/e). i figured where best to ask than this site filled with all these professionals and because i wanna become one someday i continually come back here to draw inspiration from some of the best.

When I was working full time in computer games, I was making a little under 60k/year. Freelancing, I'm making much less, but the hours are a lot better :)

Depends. Working full time is cool when you like the project, and a real drain on your soul when you don't, especially when the long hours eat away your personal life. Freelancing is great when you've got money in tha bank already, and sucks when you haven't had any serious work for the last three months. I think I prefer full-time, but not by much.

Waves will fluctuate dramatically depending where you’re located. Ex : Working in the US in California will be much different than working in Canada… You really have to check the quality of life and um.. buying power.
