It looks like your using kinda smudge/smear tool, i would just use color itself there are lots of tuts and info. here just search. Your lines look a bit shakey is that from inking or from the actual drawing?

excellent concept. i like the idea but for some reason i dont see much depth in the piece, like its borderline on becoming a bit flat(ex. of flat areas -the tongue and teeth). i hope i made some sense.

it is from an actual sketch ...but i had to bring it in on a digital scanner .... and so then i inked it in painter ... i use a LITTLE smudge and a little burn and dodge
