Hey

After a lightening strike fried my old iMac, I finally replaced it with a used G4 tower running Mac OS 10.3.4 (panther). I installed painter 7 and the right tablet driver from the Wacom website for my Graphire but for some strange reason, Painter doesn't recognise my tablet. It will read properly as I can move the cursor with it but Painter will not allow me to make any marks with anything except my standard USB mouse. Any help with this would be most appreciated. It's been nearly three weeks since I've been able to paint and I'm going nuts.

thanks.

that's odd..my intuos works fine with both of my macs, but neither of them is running panther, just the previous os x versions.

when you say it's reading properly as it moves the cursor, is it tracking like a mouse or skipping around the x,y axis the way it should? As for not making marks, could it be a pressure sensitivity issue? Can you click and drag with it in the Finder?

Also, was this tablet connected to the imac that got fried?

Thanks, bwkeough. I just figured it out. i forgot to download the painter 7 update off from the procreate website. I reinstalled painter and updated it and it worked just fine.
