Very cool. Are you a fan of Travis Charest? At least I think thats how you spell his name, you have a similar style.

HI guys,

Of course I like Travis Charest's style, he is one of my favorite artists and, I made that pinup inspired in that comic book that he did, X-men Wild Cats Golden Age, I love that comic.
Does anybody know when it will be introduced at the market the story of Metabarons that, is he drawing?
I think that already does almost 4 years that he is working in that project, I am crazy for seeing that work of him.
Well, thanks to all and, soon I will put more images.

Thanks,

Take Care,

Rod Pereira.

that looks really nice, the shadows are done well, and the colored version looks great.

I would like too be really critical, but all I can think is GREAT WORK!

All I can crit, is that I think Wolverines face appears a little chubby and that I don't think that this suits his character (personally).

Rod28Pereira : Actually there's a big book on Métabarons that's been on the shelves for ... around a year now I think with his art on the cover. I think there are stuff from him in the book as well... I didn't get the book despite having the complete Métabarons collection (last tome just hit the stores - GLEE!!!!!!), but I could check if you want.

P.S.: the WildC.A.T.s / X-MEN crossover is my favorite comic book :)

the only thing that looks odd to me is the man's head on the left seems to be small for his hat. Either that, or his hat doesn't look properly aligned. It could just be me, though.

Anyway, excellent work. Your pencils are great!

Hey Rod,

This drawing is a perfect tribute to the WildC.A.T.S./X-Men: Golden Age book. Your version of the Nazi/Daemonite is dead on. as far as the Charest Metabarons, I'm guessing you mean the one that he has a print collection of? As of last year at the San Diego Comic Con I got to get Mr. Charest's autograph on a new limited print from the book. When I asked he didn't give me a real concrete answer, but it sounds like hopefully it will be out this year (if it's out already, I havent heard.) Id really like your style, the only thing that kinda bugs me (minor thing) is the way Wolverine's cheecks seem to be a bit bubbily. I'm gonna go check out your site now, Nice work indeed. Do you ever ink your own work, or do you have somebody that inks it? I think it would be alot of fun.

The Metabarons RPG has a cover by Charest, and maybe some interior art as well. It's definitely been released in the US (not sure about Brazil), but probably a small release (I know it was released because I work in Barnes & Noble and we had it on the shelves a year or two ago).

this is some great stuff, i feel really inspired to draw after seeing this!

the only thing i have to crit is that the guy on the lefts hat seems slightly off, the top of the hat and the peak should be lined up (shouldnt they?)... if you get what i mean anyway!

other than that youve totally blown me away with this! captain america is a great character that we dont see much of anymore so props to you!! :chug:

I think the general's crows feet are too exagerated. Those lines are so straight and hard and it flattens his face out because you don't see such hard shapes in organic forms.

And yes, Travis Charest is the shit.

Hi People,

Hey, thank you for the answers, I have been adoring to read and, mainly to have that communication with all you.
I am writing down each it criticizes, good or negative, like this I will be able to take more care in my next drawings.
Well, as for Metabaron of Travis, I already have a preview that was thrown in the Metal Hurlant #134, my friend French, sent for me.
And I was of of fallen chin when seeing the pages of Travis in that magazine.
But the story completes, I still didn't see in any place, I will pray so that it is still thrown that year.
Well, a big hug to all,

Rod.
