Hi,
i'm working on a composition for 3d image.
So this is my concept.
I tryed to apply the classic rules of composition (explained by Andreew Loomis here (http://www.fineart.sk/loomis/page_02.htm) ).
I want to show that the weather is important for farmers that's why i got a big space for the sky and the people are looking the same long way above.
Do you think composition is good ?
Thanks for your advices.
Please don't take care of proportions of the draw, this is very rough and i don't need to detail.

I love it. I like the silhoutte drawing the most. I'm just a tad bit concerned about the top left side. I'm not sure what you could put or add, but if feels like it should be acentuated more. maybe by cloud color. hope this helped.

i agree that something should be going on in the top left, but since its a rough draft i wouldnt worry about it to much, and really it depends on what type of effect your trying to acheive with the lighting and clouds, i think composition of the people and cart are great and the silhoutte is very dramatic, bring out alot of feeling

The composition is great. Composition is important to me, yet i still cannot accomplish it to this professional extent.:D

Heh! you going for the contest at 3dluvr? Me too if u are?
If so any 3d yet?
The scene is cool, tho things could be grimmer, if u know what i mean. If u are going for the cartoonish scene, then this is it.
Good luck to ya! :evilbat: :D

If weather is important for farmers, shouldn't they all be facing into the wind, watching the oncoming weather? One piece of advice: in the silhouette, try to make the objects clear, including the wagon. A view of a wheel would make it obvious... Watch your perspective! One of the wheels is way off, and confuses the relationships between ALL of the figures. Better go back to Loomis and check out his elegantly simple method of placing figures and objects on a common ground- it's vital! Your composition, however, is great! The characters and the tension you've set up is marvelous, and never forget that empty space is a VITAL part of every dynamic composition. Well done!
