I mean this guy is a master of composition. Just have a look at the above image, and look at the symetry. I feel that the japanese woodblock printers really had such an amazing undertanding of compositional flow. Just observe the way your eye is led by the artist around the most important parts of the picture.

really bold and strong compositions. See how few colours they use, and how unforgiving the line can be(no soft blends!), yet how controlled the whole image is. Each picture is a "visual journey". Pick any line and follow it and you will end up at another important part of the print...
