Hey Grendel. I like it, but I can see the circles above his head from you using the dodge tool. Maybe get in their with the smudge tool and make those a little less noticeable.
other than that, nice work.

"burned out" HaHa a pun! is it true you use dodge and burn. is that how you color. if so I think I'll start using it too. I thought that those ( along with the smudge) were... you considered no no's . am I wrong?

oh and I abosolutely hate the smudge tool...its an easy way out and just using colors instead looks better.

no, what I'm talking about are the clearly visable circular areas. Who cares if you use the dodge/burn or smudge tools if the end result is desirable/attractive? Whatever those circular areas are over his head they distract from the rest of the wonderful art.

yea I know those are yellow spots i used wit the brush type i was using and didnt smooth it out. the head is dodged though. I think smudging is a waster personally it rreally impaired me when i started using photshop so I try to tell otehers to leave it alone and just color your self

I guess I should have made my question clearer. but you answered it anyways. you do use dodge and burn huh. I dont like smudge either like you said I feel its better to just paint (even though its hella time consuming) but its just a preference. I don't think its possible to paint with just dodge and burn...or is it:eek:
