Ok, I know within in amateur art, such as concept art, there are many aspects to it. But I was wondering if along with conept artist, storyboard, artist, animator; that if there were an actual legitiment title that signified something along the lines of creator, ie character creator, set creator, and so forth. Any and all help is possible, thank you:)

What do you mean by creator?
I know for a fact there is such a thing as character design, game design, etc. I'm not sure about titles, more like, they can be different specialties like charachter design.
Concept art is pretty much about designing stuff, you know. Coming up with concepts and making them happen (I think?)

CEO is company president. There's a number of ways you can get there, but I think you're main interest is in Game Design (Chris Metzen is both things, GD and CEO).
There is a university, i think in California, where they teach game design. Try to run a google search with the words "game designer + university", or something along those lines.
The CEO generaly is the founder of the company. This is not really my area, I have no idea how to become a CEO other than being a company founder.
There is a number of ways you can get in concept development & design. Besides the art team, companies some times have another group called the development team. You could land a position there by starting out with a basic position such as level designer, and then working your way up.
If you're into games, keep an eye on game mods. Mods are modifications, its a group of people who work on an existing game and add new & cool stuff to it (no money, just for fun). This is good because it builds up experience. Companies pay atention to that kind of thing, both guys who developed Counter Strike (the Half Life mod) ended up working at that company.
Ask around, this is not really my area. I know level designer is a good way of breaking in, previous to that, being part of a mod team.
Hope that helped.

Chief Executive Officer Ashen... hmmm... its got a ring to it.
:D
as Broken Spirit has said... the only way your gonna become CEO of a company is if you're up there and the current one dies... or quits... or something... or if you start your own company... and who the hell would do a stupid thing like that?
(...stop looking at me...)
In other words, you know all those hours that everyone told you were misspent when you were playing GTA? You were right when you said you'd be able to transfer those skills over and gain a great position at a gaming company...
...you'll show them all. :evilbat:
teehehe.
Seriously though, get yourself onto a team of some sort and then get some skills... some experience. Mod/Open source projects are the easiest to tag yourself on to...
There are plenty of things a concept artist can do, and they all have titles, but usually they're made up for the person... by the person... and credited as "concept artist" anyway, because no-one can remember so many titles, and overall, who really cares, you're all designing ideas for game/film bits.
anyway.
Good luck dude.
Ashims.

Hi folks,
In some places, like in the animation biz there is something called the creator which basically is the person who owns the original copyrights to the whole intellectual property.
Herge is the creator of Tintin as is Mike Mignola of Hellboy and Astrid Lindgren of Pippi Longstockings.
So if, say, we bought the movie rights to do an animated feature on Pippi we would then hire a character designer, set and props designer and an art director to develope the visual style of the production.
Sometimes concept artists are hired to draw anything needed, which I think it was the way it worked on Fifth element. The director would give the design team an assigment a week and everyone on the concept team would work on their version of that for the week, then on fridays the director would come in and chose what s/he likes.
I've had clean up assistants working for me to do clean up line art over my sketches. This opens me up to do more concept art on a tighter schedual. But credit wise we both have the same title (set designers or whatever).
Cleanup is an art in and of itself, especially in feature 2D animation.
To get into a position were you only sketch through out the production is tricky because you don't know that when interviewed for the job. They (the client) want to see that you can pull it off (the style and the assigment) which ever way they go visually with the production.
Cheers,
Leopoldo
