Well.. it's a preliminary drawing.. but I guess it's finished.. I'm not sure if this belongs in sketches or here.. because.. technically it's a "finished drawing".. but it's not like one of those really huge paintings or drawings with a full scene and stuff like that or anything.. just a design for a character..

yeah it is really nice. I like the sublteness (is that even a word?) in it. Good job. I would render it if I were you. good luck, with the render if u choose to do so:)

Yeah, that is a cool design. Kinda Macros-esque. It's preliminary, so I guess you can still work things out for the final, and the awkward posture doesn't matter. Why is she wearing a bikini bottom? :) Have you tried her without it? I think it would look much cooler and less fussy.

Very nice work, keep it up!

Greetings..

ChadTHX1138> thanks

iwasink> thank you, yes I think subtleness is a word. :D

CrazyJester> thank you, it's just a trick in photoshop, it's easily done.

snowfly> Hey thanks for the idea... actually that bikini thing wasn't really supposed to be a bikini thing..it was just supposed to be part of the seems.. seams... (I think the spelling should be the one with the "a"?) .. if you look at these coloured versions.. it's more noticeable.. .. anyway I stopped halfway because I noticed more of the errors in the drawing.. I made modifications on the original drawing.. but I want to do another drawing as well.. anyway.. here's some of the colour stuff I did.. (I guess this post is in the wrong area of the forum now.. my apologies to the mods..)

Lono> hey thanks

here's another version of that coloured one.. more colour on the suit.. less white areas.. not a major change I guess.. but still it's a new version.

WOW! I really love that yellow one. They're both nice, but i like the second one. I still can't find anything wrong with the first one. Great character, and did you paint them in photoshop?

very cool, its coming along nicely! i like the gloves
justa suggestion- the legs on the last two could maybe use a little work...the calves seem kind of short and stubby

The black and white one has a much better shading, but the face of the standing pose is rather awkward. The lower half of her face and the position of the neck are being forced together in the standing pose. The sitting pose dosen't have such a problem. Her outfit reminds me of the EVA pilot's uniform. Beautiful lines and sketchy quality. Different experiment is always helpful. You might want to try paint with background, because everything looks lighter against white. Also I don't know how to write this in words, but visually, colors of similar tones don't make sense when you use them together in one picture but treat them differently.... like the shading on the right hand in the last picture.

I like the second pose even better bboy. You have real nice figures that show character, To me as long as it looks cool it doesnt matter.

I hate to admit I am not too crazy about your choice of colors, But when you figure it out you are gonna rock!

Though your signature is cool, somehow the name Albert
Einstien doesn't sound that familair.

Wow.. lots of replies... I've taken a break from this particular design for a bit.. but I'll be working on this again soon

brad3d> more versions to come.. I'm still not happy with the design.

sin> thanks! I'll post some more soon.

iwasink> yes.. the drawing is in pencil and all the colour is in photoshop

Azulblue> Yeah I've seen parts of that animation, it's cool. :D

wes900> thanks, and thanks for the feedback.

mushuhaha> thanks for your comments, yeah I've been thinking of what to add into the background. Hmm.. I'm a little confused at your final comment.. could you.. further explain it? Though you already said it's hard to put into words.. hmm.. I'll think about it..

ChadTHX1138> Blue and orange isn't to your liking huh? I wanna try some other compbinations too though.. :D
