bot update, please help me out here!

I messed with the same bot from this post (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2416) , and I like how its coming out so far, but I hate the hand. Can someone please mess with that hand. I don't want it to look so cartoony, and i want it to look more realistic and metallic. I like where this is going, but If I no one helps me and I get tired of it that's where it stays. Its the first okay bot i've ever done, so PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!

nice.. you fixed the proportions on the legs

the composition is excelent just work on the hand and finish it up!

see thats just it. I'm not sure what to do to the hand. That's why I wanted someone to mess with it, or point something out. Also is it easy to see the jet pack? Should I add anything to the background?
