Thought I'd finally jump on this fantastic, crazy bandwagon. Not sure how often this will be updated but what the hell...
Although I'm not a fan of the sport, I've always loved how boxing has been represented in art.

love the detail (or impression of it anyway) in the colored boxer's wrappings. the top left pencil boxer has some weird musclestuff going on just above the clavicle it seems.
my fav is the spacesuit, but that's probably just my personal taste because wobots awe cool ;)
hope to see lots more from you here!

Thanks everyone.
troymcoy - Yikes, I guess Dan & I have been doing storyboards too long. I suppose you could say the same thing about any number of us 'renderers' up here.
roger - Yes they're all Painter. Although I've allways been impressed with it's sketching tools, my 'fav' settings change quite often and the program's still not perfect.
Hyver - Yes, I see what you mean about the shoulder area. I did this from a Getty pic and I must say the guy did have a quirky look to him.
Dan - Thanks buddy, I'll try.
Will - Thank you. Yeah, robots are cool!
Cheers,
M

hey! Mark Harris! Nice one. I didn't know you had a thread here. These are quality. They've got a great old school illustration feel to them.

Thanks guys.
van- After drawing so many people very quickly for storyboards it's nice to relax and just go at my own pace. It's unfortunate that I can't relax that much when I'm doing boards. Probably a 'zen' thing I'll have to work on.
el coro- I'll try to keep this as current as possible. This has got to be one of the most active and interesting sections on this site!

Great stuff again. You're 'less is more' approach, and command of anatomy are top notch.

yeah excellent sketchbook.
What brush technique is that? I see a few use it, looks very nice, like digital pencil!
