Hi,

Does anyone know what kind of clay Pete Konig used for the Sculpture tutorial shown here?:

http://www.cgchannel.com/news/viewfeature.jsp?newsid=2827

It looks like an oil based clay and I'm wondering how he could paint on it? Or is it a material that hardened before he painted on it?

I've done some figure sculpture work recently using fired clay and an oil based clay that doesn't harden. I'm trying to find something I can use for marquettes that doesn't need to be fired, will harden and can be painted on.

thanks,

Mike

Hey there...are you talking about the tutorial at the top of the 3d page? Check it out, "smellybugs awesome tutorial", all the info is in there.

Thanks Pete.

Great tutorial... wish I could see you in action at Austin, but the wife nixed that pipe dream real fast.

Your tutorial points me in the right direction, so I'm all set for now.

Thanks again,

Mike

I understand totally. Luckily the lil woman is coming to Austin too, so I got permission.

I'm sure the guys will want to do another workshop on the eastcoast in the future. Maybe we'll see you there.
