Hey.
I started drawing last summer. I don't really know how to explain it, but I just got this urge and passion to draw. During that time I went out and bought a book or two to help me along. Most of this stuff was done one to two months after I first got the urge. Finally, I've finished high school and I've suddenly found more time to pursue art, again.
Please, bare with me. Some of the beginning stuff can be depressing in quality, but I'm here to do my best and to learn--and I believe I've learned something, already. To those reading this, please, feel welcome to comment, suggest, and critique my work.
Thanks.

These were my very first drawings in my first very new notebook last summer. At this point in time I had the Drawing: The Head & Figure by Jack Hamm, and I was using the eye tutorials.

These were around September, I think... I was trying to do more than just eyes--though they're fun to draw, I don't just want to draw them.

Christmas time... I thought I had made some improvements since the summer.

Spring time... still, I was seeing some improvements, and I was happy, but was shocked with reality when I tried comparing my stuff to others here. I have a lot of work to do. A lot.

These were during Spring break, I believe. I during the Spring I was trying out a pen medium and found it pretty fun, though I hated making mistakes since whats on, stays on.

Some DSGs:

The last one I had a perfect picture in my mind on how I wanted, but my skill in Painter/Adobe prohibited me from finishing it. I've been working some with it, trying to get better with colours.

These are my most recent. The first I made as an avatar for the forums of a website I work for.

In preparation for summer, I'm trying to get as active as I possibly can in art, again. This is what I did today while watching the M*A*S*H marathon. Ha.

isn't it cool to look at past work and see how much you've improved? it's also cool because if you continue to draw, the improvement will continue as well. Keep it up, and who knows what amazing work you'll be creating down the line? rawk on. peas out.

Thanks elboy, I appreciate the kind words. It is amazing how much one can improve over time. I don't think I'm ever going to get rid of my sketchbooks. Great memories, even if it's sometimes painful to see. :)
I've been experimenting around with Photoshop and Painter. Here's what I've worked with, so far. First attempts can be painful.

I'm trying to get a good grasp on anatomy, so I figured I'd start with the arms. I'll keep working with it until I feel I have a strong grasp on how to draw it.

Tried these without references today; I was detained from my sketchbook, so I had to scrounge for paper. I tried a shot at foreshortening and anatomy. Practice makes better. Perfect? Maybe, maybe not. Can perfect be attained? Interesting thought.

I'm trying to work my way into the human form thinking: no straight lines. Don't resist the curve. Maybe it's the wrong way to come at an organic form, but it seems to work so much better than straight lines.

Trying to involve more body into the anatomy, and some dynamic poses.
